Meet Our Pastor
Rev. Dr. Emerson Ross is a native of Sumter County, Alabama. He was raised by his grandparents. He earned an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate Degree in Biblical Education from Gwinnett Hall Baptist Bible College in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Dr. Ross accepted his calling to the ministry in 1987 and was ordained to preach in 1989. Since his ordination, he has served as Assistant Pastor of Pinetop Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Rev Floyd O. Bell, which is now the Bethel-Pine Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter County, Alabama. He served as the Young Adult Pastor at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roswell, Georgia, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Frank Lewis.
With all his ministerial, family, school and work responsibilities Dr. Ross was a manager at Hoshizaki America in Peachtree City and Griffin, Georgia, where he worked for thirty (30) years.
In 2014 Dr. Ross received a vision from God to start a Satellite Division of Gwinnett Hall Baptist Bible College Campus in Flowery Branch, GA, along with his longtime friend Dr. Eugene Harbin until 2019.
Dr. Ross currently resides in Buford, Georgia with his loving wife Lillian and they are the proud parents of two adult daughters Latashia and Stephanie.
In May 2007, God called him to pastor the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Where he is humble to serve such a great congregation of believers, who are excited about worshipping our Heaven Father.
